Why are Executive Functions Harder for Some Students? with Carrie Bonnett
Many students have not learned the important brain skills that help them get things done. These are called Executive Function skills: things like planning, organization, time management and self-monitoring. Parents and teachers expect kids to know how to do these things, but we aren't always teaching them. The research shows that they must be taught. In addition , there are many kids who are struggling because their brains are just wired differently, which makes it doubly difficult for them and their families.
Join us for a conversation with Carrie Bonnett as we chat about what Executive Functions actually are, why they’re harder for some students to develop, and what parents and teachers can do to support these students.
